Open-access is an initiative that promotes the sharing and publication of research results, including open access to academic papers and the openness and sharing of research data (open data), and encourages the acceleration of research activities and the creation of new knowledge.
This project targets universities and other institutions that have formulated business plans based on a university-wide vision for open access (open access policy, research data policy, etc.), and aims to support the development and sophistication of systems for managing and utilizing research results (institutional repositories, etc.), the operation and organizational strengthening of said systems through university-wide management under the leadership of the president, and the implementation of in-house support measures to promote open access (strategic APC support, etc.), thereby accelerating the establishment of systems and system reforms for immediate open access at each university and other institutions.
